PATRIOTIC COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
January 19, 2010
A quorum not being present, Chairperson Margaret Byrnes called the regular meeting of the Patriotic Commission to order at 7:27 p.m. in the second floor conference room in the Town Hall, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
PRESENT: Margaret Byrnes, Linda Carrasquillo. Bernard Corona, Vincent Parys.
ABSENT: Paul Barry, Edward Dettore, Eugene Pushefski, Sr., Susan Tukey.
EXCUSED: Patricia Begley, Richard Begley, Charles Clarke, Melodie Wilson.
ALSO PRESENT: Robin E. Parys, Clerk.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
A quorum not being present, the November 17, 2010 minutes were not approved.

CORRESPONDENCE: A note was received from the Beautification Commission thanking the Patriotic Commission members for their assistance in delivering the Holiday Fest food items.
Responses are being received from the participants for the 2011 Memorial Day Parade.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Budget balance is $11,520.00
UNFINISHED/OLD/ BUSINESS: Commissioner Vincent Parys reported the price comparisons for the 2011 American Flag purchase. He also reported the price comparisons for the purchase of safety vests for the Memorial Day Parade Staff. Chairperson Margaret Byrnes will consult with Mayor Marcia LeClerc for her approval.
